En passant

Reisen durch urbane Räume: Perspektiven einer anderen Art der Stadtwahrnehmung

Kay von Keitz, Sabine Voggenreiter Ed(s)

En passant means “in passing”, although the authors of this volume explore urban and suburban spaces using all of the senses, to discover—in the sense of “Situationist urbanism”—more intensive and thoughtful ways to experience architecture and the city. Using this method, surprising new perspectives on their familiar living and working environments are revealed to urban planners and architects, but also to city dwellers.

Markus Ambach, Boris Sieverts, Bertram Weisshaar, and the Citámbulos from Mexico City present their strategies for roaming through cities in this book. The accompanying DVD documents their new perception methodology using examples of walks through the city of Cologne.

Please note: This book is only available in German.
