This book presents a comprehensive anthology of unrealized projects of Croatian architecture of the last century selected by Tomislav Odak, prominent architect and architectural theorist.

In fifteen chapters of the introductory part of the book the author discusses turning point in the history of Croatian architecture of the 20th century by establishing the relation between developments in architecture and social circumstances which it evolved. The catalog section of the book contains 220 projects from 115 authors, illustrated with 850 photographs. The book contains a list of all published works, biographical notes about authors and an author index.

Tomislav Odak has authored numerous articles in professional publications, and has been awarded numerous awards and recognitions, including the two most important "Borbine" awards, in 1980 and 1989, and the award "Architecture" from the city of Zagreb in 1997. He was a member of the editorial "Man and Space" from 1984 to 1988, became editor of "Architecture" in 1990 and is a member of the editorial board of the magazine "Piranesi" (Slovenia). He has published articles, studies and criticism in both the domestic (Vijesnik, Man and Space, Architecture) and foreign press (Piranesi, Solaris and Werk Bauen + Wohnen). He has exhibited in the Gallery "Dessa" in Ljubljana, "Kleine Galerie im Künstlerhaus" in Klagenfurt, the Museum of Architecture in Belgrade, the Austrian house in Sarajevo, the gallery, "Waldinger" in Osijek and the National Museum in Zadar.
