MUSEION, the name of the new museum building in Bolzano, opened in 2008, comes from the ancient Greek. It also represents a programme for the presentation and mediation of art in all its expressive forms. The resulting architecture is a convincing ensemble of museum, studio building and bridge as a public setting for art. This book describes how the initial idea developed into the realization of this architecturally and technically remarkable building with all its details, such as the media facade or the curving double bridge.
