We present you a book on the architectural and pedagogical talent, a manufacturer determining and publishing his own works in an elite international scene, excellent polemicist and critic of contemporary phenomena – Vladimir Turina. This book presents Turina as a writer. Selected articles were collected in six groups – projects, essays, lectures, reviews, images and letters. Some of the articles were published in professional journals and newspapers, others are a part of the manuscripts which were first published.

Vladimir Turina emerged spectacularly as a young winner of international competitions, first for the Belgrade Opera in 1940, followed by the victory in the competition for the University Hospital Salata, Zagreb. After the Second World War ended Turina began his longtime work at Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb (1946–1962). The Centre for the Protection of mother and child was built in part. He realized only one apartment building in Zagreb. There are numerous other projects, competitions, studies and sketches which did not get realized. He has written numerous articles that he published in special publications, professional periodicals and newspapers. On the occasion of the exhibitions of the Olympic Games in London and Helsinki he has also exhibited sports construction projects for which he received prominent recognition.
