At the time of faded memories of the undisputed professional and moral starting point of urban planning, at the time of inappropriate authority of material gain and personal interests, this book introduces readers to the selected theme of urban planning in an effort to clarify the purpose, need and importance of planning the use and conservation of space.

The book is divided into eleven chapters that complement the theme, and includes a CD with 30 presentations and more than 2000 pictures. A separate part of the book is a professional interpreter of concepts used in urban planning. The book is written in an effort to draw attention to the core values and the starting point of urban planning, to encourage discussion and reflection of its contemporary determination.

The first chapter of the book includes an overview of the selected attributes of city and urban development activities, the purpose and importance of urban planning and the role of participants in their preparation and implementation. The second chapter covers the process of urban plan from the introduction of space and the urban setting to urban plan of the solution, displaying mode solution and the circumstances that accompany their implementation. The third chapter is focused on the perception of space as an essential element of this design. The fourth chapter describes the starting point for determining perception and construction of buildings in the area of the street, a fifth chapter provides the starting point for planning and decorating squares. The sixth chapter covers the basic starting point of planning the city, mainly residential districts, including the organization of space, the basic requirements of determining the size and arrangement of space. The seventh chapter describes the starting point of planning road traffic, bicycle traffic and pedestrians with technical terms and definitions needed for program development of traffic solutions. The eighth chapter covers starting point decoration of public spaces, while the ninth and tenth chapters contain a overview of the planning and layout of landscape. Finally, the eleventh chapter covers the basic definitions and explanations of urban legislation, professional criteria and standards in urban planning.
